The Ressurection of Hauntcast

Hi everyone

Sorry I have been gone for a while but life intervened. More info on me in later posts. This one is get out to as many people as possible the chance that Hauntcast (www.hauntcast.net) can be Resurrected. As most readers know Hauntcast and the Scream Team shut down back in November due the team having to deal with "real" world matters.

Well, based on a growing number of support from show fans, a chance exists to bring the show back. But for it to come back, the fans MUST step up and support Chris Baker and the Scream Team via paid subscriptions.

Hauntcast  (www.hauntcast.net) NEEDS at least 250 members to get memberships before the show can come back. A subscription will run you $100.00 (US) per year. Subscribers will receive discounts from these great Vendors:

Vox Noctis – $100 dollar coupon

As of this writing, more vendor discounts may come. With just a few of these discounts, the subscription pays for itself.

In addition, Johnny and Chris are considering splitting off Fright Flick segment into its own show to better cover Horror related Movies, TV, Books, Comics, and Cons. This will mean 2 episodes worth of content a month boys and girls!!!

Now before people start the usually B*tching and Whining about paying for something they are used to getting for free, here are the hard cold facts.

  1. This revival was NOT even suggested by Chris or his Scream Team. It was Terra, a world-class home haunter and prop builder in her own right, who suggested it. She is a devoted fan of Hauntcast, as most of us are, and wanted to find a way to bring the show back.  Chris and the Scream Team VERY GRACIOUSLY agreed to give it a try!
  2. Because of the "Real" world realities and Time/Energy/Cost of doing Hauntcast (www.hauntcast.net) , Chis and his team MUST be compensated this time or the show CAN NOT come back
  3. The $100.00 a year subscriptions breaks down to about $8.00 a episode ($4.00 if they do the new Fright Flick show).  8 bucks is the price of most newstand horror magazines!!!  With Hauntcast (www.hauntcast.net)  you will get 2.5 hours (more if they do 2nd show) a month of haunt entertainment and information
  4. A deadline of March 8th 2012 has been set for getting the 250 members needed to bring the show back.  IF it is NOT reached, those who paid will have their money refunded and Hauntcast  (www.hauntcast.net) will NEVER RETURN. No later revivals, reunion shows NOTHING!!!!!!!!
So those are the facts.  If you are fan and love the show, GET OVER TO THEIR WEB SITE  (WWW.HAUNTCAST.NET) AND SUBSCRIBE NOOOWWWW!!!!!!!!

If you are new to the show, hop over to the website (www.hauntcast.net) and listen/download the past 3 years of shows and see what you are missing.  You will NOT be disapointed.  THEN JOIN!!!  Chris put a easy-to-see "Subscribe" button on the site for members to join.

That's all for now.  Will post more about Hauntcast and what I have been up to next post. Later all

Re-Animator: Added Performances

From Shock Till You Drop website .....

"Re-Animator- The Musical," the horror-comedy based on the 1985 cult movie hit and earlier H.P. Lovecraft story, is responding to overwhelming popular demand by adding performances at the Steve Allen Theater.

Effective Friday, April 22, the new performance schedule will be Friday at 8 p.m. and Midnight, Saturday at 8 p.m., Sunday at 3:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Ticket prices will increase at that time, from $25 to $30.

The musical has become a phenomenon, with audience members coming from as far away as San Francisco, Phoenix and San Diego, some dressed as the story's characters.

"Re-Animator- The Musical" is the story of research student Herbert West, the serum that he creates to revive the dead, and the havoc that he creates for the people of the college town where he now resides, especially for his roommate and his lovely fiancĂ©e, the dean's daughter.

The cast includes Graham Skipper, Chris L. McKenna, Rachel Avery, Harry S. Murphy, Jeese Merlin, Mark Beltzman, Cynthia Carle, Brian Gillespie and Liesel Han.

Hauntcast individual episodes now available for purchase

You can now buy individual 2011 Hauntcast episodes from the website. Each show cost a measly $1.39. Chris would like you to buy a year subscription for the insanely low price of $12.00 (this is a savings of $4.68 over buying the shows individually) to support and keep the show going, but I guess that is up haunters in the community to decide.

Remember, if Chris can not get the support; the "Abbey Road" show will be this November. Once Chris, Rev, Johnny, Shelly and Ringo (er Denny) breakup, there will be no reunion tours.
